COMMENTAIRE
Gila Abutalebi writes short stories, essays, and poetry. Her writing
is diverse, in part serious, fundamental, exploratory, observatory,
realistic, erotic, introverted, prose loving, detail oriented, at
a raised level as well as at times reduced to successive word pairs
and metaphors such as “life” and “war”.
The contents, oftentimes introspective journeys or poetry from the
gut or dreams of a lady in the midst of life, deal primarily with
positive, realistic, or idealistic findings, wishes, and reflections.
Likewise precise and critical are her descriptions of perceptions
of a world („Es betrifft uns alle“, „Die Uhr tickt“,
„Ersetzbar“), that is recognized through a feeling of
awakened emptiness and a fine sense of differentiation.
Gila Abutalebi muses about the world and draws conclusions. Her
stories and poetry are full of ideas, open, fresh, sometimes up
on a cloud, at other times passionate and full of tension without
being held captive by a preset aesthetic concept.
